Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is an independent self-starter with the ability to work well as part of a team and grow into the Mechanical Department Manager. We have a casual, but very productive environment and offer excellent benefits. This is not a remote or part-time position.

Responsibilities:

• Design of multiple HVAC system types, packaged rooftop units, air handlers, plumbing and piping.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Will be responsible for producing Design Development and Construction Documents.

• Process RFI’s, shop drawings and submittals.

• Attend client meetings and conference calls.

• Coordinate projects/drawings with consultants (both in and out of house).

• Conduct existing condition site surveys.

• Ability to travel.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• 5-7 years of experience designing HVAC and Plumbing systems for buildings.

• PE License preferred.

• Must have AutoCAD experience.

• Familiar with automated software such as Carrier’s Hourly Analysis Program (HAP) or Trane Air conditioning Economics (Trace).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must have strong technical and problem-solving skills.
